Happenings

Northside School and Cool Cycling Club honor perfect attendees.
On Wednesday June 3rd Northside School Principal Bill Jensen presented brand new Schwinn bicycles and helmets to three hard working students.  These gifts, purchased by the Cool Cycling Club, are a reward for their perfect attendance this school year.  The club is proud to be a part of recognizing these outstanding 4th, 5th and 6th grade students.  After the bikes were presented the students were treated to a demonstration of bike handling skills by Courtney Cardenas, and a question and answer session with Kent Ridgley.
CCC representative John Vieira-McEldowney and teacher Suzy Remillard pose with winning students at Northside School.

Northside School Intersession
Club President RIch Elmore accompanied several Northside students on an Olmstead Loop trail ride during the school Intersession.  After a basic safety check of the bikes off they went to explore the nether regions of the Olmstead area.

CCC Wish List

At a recent meeting Rich asked us to go around the table and present some ideas for a "wish list" for the club.  The wish list is not limited to objects. It can also contain activities and ideas.  By presenting this list we hope to encourage people who may see something they have, or something they would like to do to step forward and provide their help.

Our wishes list is not limited to what you see here. Anybody who wants to add something can call me, John at 530-885-8661 or email me at the address at the bottom of the page.  The more ideas the better.  We'd like the synergy to build!

Community outreach projects

The RecycleBike program supported by the CCC is no longer in operation.  We do, however, continue to encourage the donation of usable bicycles of all types to a nearby Roseville organization, Cycles For Hope, or C4H for short.  You can contact Rich Elmore at 889-2097 or John Vieira-McEldowney if you have a donation and we will see that it gets to C4H.  Or you can contact Shawn directly at 916-390-8375, donations@cycles4hope.org.
